Exodus 22 is a continuation of the judgements of property in the latter part of Exodus 21.
The verses that stuck out to me are verses 22-24 where God talks about those who cause affliction to widows and fatherless children, In verse 24 he says “And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives will be widows and your children will be fatherless.
I think this verse draws a parallel to James 1:27 where he talks about pure, undefiled religion.
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
I think as Christians, we need to stand up against any persecution of vulnerable classes of people.
I was think how it said in verse one if you steal something and kill it or give it away what’s the point of stealing it if you don’t even want it
Also I don’t like my profile pic
How do you change your profile picture?
Idk
Great verse to pick out! Sin will cost more than you want to pay. This thief had give back 5 oxen for only one that he stole.
Today was about more laws, but in verse 20 it tells us not be be sacrificing to other gods. Another thought about that verse ,when i was reading it, was not to let things of this world become your idol ‘’god’’.
What do you consider things of this world?
Boys are the best
FUN FACT FORE THE DAY
I looked it up and the first thing i saw was that pizza is the number one thing eaten in America
i believe that u spelled FORE wrong… i am very disappointed.
I like cheeseburger pizza!
In verse 22 it talks about not afflicting widows Or the fatherless child. We should not afflict any one who has problems.
Why am i pink???
Lucky you get to be pink
Do you know a widow or child who doesn’t have a father in the home?
I like reading through the laws, even though we don’t have to follow most of them, because I feel like it gives a lot of insight into God’s personality.
Yes, it does!!
The law that says if you barrow something and don’t return it you will be punished scared me a bit
Sameeeeee
It is good to be scared to commit sin!
