Exodus 29 describes the steps that Aaron and his sons had to take day after day to consecrate themselves in order to be able to minister to God. They had to make themselves Holy by meticulously completing each one of the tasks laid out in this chapter.
I’ve always been fascinated with how God tells Aaron and his sons to put the ram’s blood on their right ear, right thumb, and right big toe. Do you think there was a significance to that? Why do you think God required the priests to do that in order for them to enter into the tabernacle?
Great vivid pics! Great questions!
How about it L.I.T. Crew?
Give a guess at answering these questions.
God was very specific about the details of the tabernacle. And also very particular about Aaron and how he dressed when entering. God also is very particular about what we do with our lives. And how we act to honor Him.
FIRST ONE!!
There was definitely a higher set of standards for the Levites, God’s workers.
Unfortunately I’m not sure of the answer to those questions, but I have an insight— in Exodus 30:15 It says “ The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less than half a shekel, when they give an offering unto the Lord, to make an atonement for your souls.” And I just thought it was cool how God makes sure everyone knows that no matter what you have or what you do everyone is a sinner and all must pay the same price for sin
(I hope I interpreted that correctly)
Great job! Sin always has a minimum cost that one will pay.
I have no idea why, i gonna guess God wanted to test the priest.
also that guy has weird lookin toes.
Good observation
I like chapter 29:45-46. “And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will be their God.’’ “And they shall know that I am the Lord their God, that brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, that I may dwell among them:I am the Lord their God.’’
It says “that brought them out of the land of Egypt’’ it reminded me to be thankful for what God has given me.
God has given us so many irreplaceable things in our life that cannot be purchased with money. Our family, the Word of God, desires to please Him, a good attitude . . . . what else can you think for which we can thank God?
