In Leviticus 2:11, the Lord says not to mingle leaven or honey in the meat offering. The meat offering was quite different than most of the other ceremonial sacrifices in that there was no shedding of blood. I think it signified what we can do through our own works to serve and be pleasing to God. To be without leaven, was a symbol of purity, the honey was pleasure. We should always keep the cross in mind when we serve the Lord. In Christ’s sacrifice, there was no sin and there was no pleasure, but yet Christ freely gave his life for us.

Leviticus 5-6 Wednesday
God had exact rules for them to follow, for sacrificing. We should be thankful for no longer having to sacrifice.
It is great being able to go directly to God anytime we want.
