November 13 – Preview of a New Earth – Revelation 21
John declares in the first verse that the first heaven and earth will pass away, and a new heaven and earth will take its place. Verse four mentions a few former things that will be taken away from the new heaven and earth. Praise the Lord! Sadly, verse eight lists the people that will not experience the new heaven and earth. You do not want to be one of those mentioned in this verse. The rest of the chapter gives us a glimpse of the beauty in this new heaven and earth. It is hard to imagine just how awesome this will be, but according to verse twenty-seven, you will never experience heaven unless your name is written in the Lamb’s book of life. Can you remember back when you accepted Jesus Christ, God’s Son, as your Saviour? Praise the Lord! If not, let me encourage you today to ask forgiveness of your sins, and ask Jesus to save you.
