July 1 – God’s Provision for Sin – Romans 3

Sin is everyone’s problem.  This chapter explains that when it comes to the problem of sin, it does not how religious you are, what your background is, or how much good you do.  We are all sinners.  Sin in any amount causes us to fall short of God’s requirement for Heaven.  Until we understand that we are a sinner, and it is this sin that keeps us from going to Heaven; we cannot be saved.  It is when we understand that we can truly ask forgiveness and trust Jesus’ payment on the cross for our sin.  This is when God’s grace is applied and we receive our home in Heaven.

There has been much debate as to the meaning of verse 31.  What do you think it means?
