God thoroughly reveals his plan for Moses and the Israelites, that he will take them out of bondage in Egypt and give them the land of Canaan that was promised Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. However, the Hebrews are too focused on their troubles to rejoice in the promises of God.
It’s very easy to focus on problems rather than promises that God has made to us in his word.
moses was still insecure about his speech. he still thought he wasn’t good enough even though God told him specifically he was going to use him. Satan will use the same lie over and over again until you become too afraid to follow God.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

A lot of people let their ancestry and or their own past define them and refuse to move forward, but Moses is being used by God in great ways despite both his ancestors and his own violent actions in the past.
Moses realized his strength and power came from the Lord.
“Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:10
