In Leviticus 1:3 The burnt sacrifice was to be a young bull, free from blemishes, the best of the herd. It was to be given voluntarily. We should have that same attitude when we serve the Lord. We should want to give him our best, not out of obligation, but out of a willing heart.
As a whole the Levites seem like a bold people who have more desire to follow God than some of the other tribes so it seems fitting to me that it would be a segment of them would be the priests.
