Someone asked, “Does God have a sense of humor?”
I think there’s little doubt. Consider the platypus. When the Lord created this peculiar creature, I think he chuckled about the foolish evolutionists that would one day come along. The c has a duck-like bill, beaver-like tail, webbed feet like an otter, hair like a bear, and claws like a reptile. It lays eggs like a turtle, builds a burrow like a rabbit, and nurses its young like a mammal. Perhaps God made the platypus just to confuse the evolutionists. No, the platypus didn’t evolve from anything and isn’t evolving into anything. He is exactly what God intended to create. And I can say with confidence that when God brought you into this world, He made you exactly the way He wanted, idiosyncrasies and all. When God created the platypus, He saw that “it was good”; but when He made you, He saw that “it was very good.” God loves you more than you can imagine. God does not love you for what you can do for Him. God loves you for YOU!
