January 11 – Joseph – Genesis 39, 41, 43, 45
There is so much that happens in these chapters, it is difficult to choose what to mention and what to leave out. In hindsight, it is easy to see all the hardships Joseph overcame became the fabric of what it would take to fulfill God’s will to become second in command under Pharaoh.
Through all Joseph’s setbacks, he always maintained hope, a good attitude, and a dream. Joseph’s relationship with God was the reason he was able to maintain these things. You will find the phrase “And the Lord was with Joseph” through all Joseph’s trials. God’s hand of blessing was with Joseph even though he was experiencing trial after trial.
Let me challenge you to maintain an excellent relationship with God. Romans 8:28 is true. Look for the evidence of God’s blessing in your trial today.
