April 7 – The Shepherds – Luke 2:8-20
The Shepherds gave us a great example of how to respond to the invitation to worship Jesus and the results of doing so. The shepherds were informed that the Saviour was born and were invited to worship Him. The shepherds responded to the information they received by going to see Jesus. They found Jesus. They experienced Jesus by seeing him. All of these events prompted them to go tell others about their experience.
There was a day that you were informed and invited to worship this same Jesus. You have heard how Jesus was crucified, was buried, and rose again for the purpose of giving you a chance to experience eternal life in Heaven. You have a choice whether or not you will experience Jesus by trusting Him as your Saviour. If you have experienced Jesus than you too know how wonderful it is to pass on this great information to encourage others to trust in such a loving Saviour.
