December 2 – Healing by Faith – Mark 9
In today’s passage we read of the disciples failed attempt to heal a boy, but Jesus successfully bringing complete healing to the boy. In verses 14 thru 32, a father in the crowd asks Jesus to heal his boy that was demon possessed. The father informed Jesus that His disciples had unsuccessfully tried to heal him. Jesus told the man that if he believed “all things are possible to him that believeth.” The father replied with tears, “Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.” How wonderful it is that when our faith falls short, we can utilize the faith of God to enable us to push further than we ever thought possible! What are you facing today that you feel you lack the faith to have the victory? Health? Relationships? Parenting? Finances? Many Christians are losing the battle of fear during this spreading virus. Maybe your lack of faith is causing fear to limit how God can use you. Let me encourage you to ask Jesus, like this father, to help your unbelief.
